​My Background

I started working in 2011, and jumped right into the world of school textbook publishing at Orient BlackSwan, formerly Orient Longmans. Fresh out of college, I was excited to apply my creative ideas to developing schoolbooks. Over the next 8.5 years, I honed my skills in writing, editing, proofreading, copyediting and project management, even getting the chance to lead a small team of assistant editors. I mastered the art of creating high-quality, engaging educational material, keeping it engaging and consistent, while always meeting tight deadlines.

Right before the pandemic hit, I decided to switch gears and follow my passion for baking! Taking a gap year in my career, I put my mind into starting my own home bakery (which is still going strong today!), learning a lot of entrepreneurial skills in the process.

Then in 2021, I made a big leap into the tech world with a job at Securin Inc. I quickly learned how to handle the challenges of technical writing, becoming a pro at turning complex jargon into easy-to-read content. In my four years at Securin, I gained a ton of experience with SEO, website content, and social media, as well technical reports, co-branded whitepapers, request for proposals and product sales decks.
